Jingshan Park wheelchair accessibility
Go with caution
Located north of the Forbidden City, this is the highest point of the Ming and Qing imperial gardens, built from soil dredged from the moat.
Known facilities: Accessible restroom, Wheelchair rental.
- Bottom line: The flat paths at the foot of the hill allow for barrier-free touring around the park. The paths up the hill are extremely steep, narrow, and slippery; manual wheelchairs require companions to assist, while power wheelchairs can attempt to reach the mountainside.
- Core wheelchair experience: Roll around the hill to visit Shouhuang Temple and the site where the Chongzhen Emperor died.
