从南京东路地铁站3号口出站，推行至外滩南入口，此处坡度平缓，轮椅可轻松推行上坡。
外滩观景平台设有防滑坡道，坡度平缓，电动轮椅或手动轮椅推行均较为省力。
大部分区域无台阶，但外滩有部分楼梯仍需下轮椅通过，且8号口无障碍通道只能上不能下。

十六铺码头游轮登船处存在约1.5米的高差和台阶障碍，轮椅无法自主通行。
